Melanie Hernandez Calumpad, (born January 5, 1981) who is famously known as Kyla is a Filipina singer. She holds the title as "R&B Princess." She won International Viewer's Choice for Southeast Asia Awardee by the MTV Video Music Awards. Some of the foreign artist she collaborated with are Ronan Keating, Norwegian group Fra Lippo Lippi, Keith Martin, British boy-band Blue, Malaysian R&B singer Ferhad, and Malaysian hip-hop duo Too Phat. Kyla has released 7 albums since 2000.
